PBS: Digital Nation

As Kevin pointed out in class, this is a well regarded PBS Frontline episode about new technologies.

I was describing the purpose of 970 to a friend at the bar, and he immediately brought up this episode.  I think we’re getting scooped by PBS.

  1. This episode is full of questions that arise from total embrace and movement towards a society and life where constant connection to digital media is the norm. Movement of many of the actions (and interactions) that now are being incorporated into digital technology and a digital life are explore along with the implications and early research on brain response, ethics, and questions of addiction. I highly recommend looking at this episode. Frontline does a wonderful job as always looking at the issue from many angles in hope of creating an informed and questioning audience.
