art of a geographic scale

Filed under: Uncategorized — markharrower @ 11:48 am

Nothing too substantial here but I was struck by (1) the act of literally drawing lines of the earth in the sense of “earth as a giant canvas” which is something cartographers have always done (just on paper, not in reality); (2) the ephemeral nature of this project; (3) the way it highlights the disconnect between human scale vs. geographic scale. Plus it has retro-trippy tunes.
